Return to Football

With a return to football for all teams from w/c 29th March, please note:

  • Spectators are not permitted until at least 12th April
  • One parent/carer per youth player is permitted to be present
  • Spectators (socially distanced) no earlier than 12th April
  • Access to changing rooms no earlier than 12th April
  • Outdoor food/drink, following rule of 6 / two households, no earlier than 12th April
  • Clubhouse opening, following rule of 6 / two households, no earlier than 17th May
  • No legal limits on gatherings from 21st June
  • If anyone tests positive for Covid they must inform the relevant team manager who in turn must inform our Covid officer James Winzar at [email protected] who will provide guidance.

A status summary for individual teams is below:

First Team

The Wessex League season 2020-21 has been curtailed and no more league games will be played.

The First team have entered the Hampshire Invitation Cup which will run from 12th April

Friendlies will start to be played from 3rd April, with no spectators allowed, nor access to changing rooms, until no earlier than 12th April.

Reserve Team

The Hampshire Combination League is resuming its season and will play as many league games as possible before the end of May.

When the season stopped the Reserves had fourteen league games remaining. The start date for fixtures is from the 6th April, with no spectators allowed, nor access to changing rooms, until no earlier than 12th April.

Youth Team

The NEHYL have provided current Covid-19 guidance/requirements these can be found here. We are adopting these procedures for all our teams please read these.

Ladies Team

The Ladies team in the Hampshire Womens Football League is due to restart from Sunday 11th April and will continue to the end of May.

Sunday Team

For the Alton Sunday team, the Aldershot league will recommence on Sunday 4th April, which is the same for the two Vets teams in the Farnham Sunday League.

Junior Teams

Back to training from 29th March. One parent/carer allowed per household.

One parent/carer per youth player is permitted to be present at football activities although they must observe the relevant Government Covid-19 guidance. The parent/carer must provide first aid assistance to their child wherever possible.

No unauthorised training or matches can take place.

Track and Trace must take place at all venues. QR codes must be e-mailed to the opposition prior to matches. If a QR code cant be used a paper record of all attending must be taken.

Please makes sure you have sanatiser to clean shared equipment and appropriate PPE in your first aid kit. The club will refund the cost of this with the presentation of a receipt of purchase.

All home matches will take place at The Enclosure, Anstey Park, Diggers or Shalden. Alton Town Council are marking additional pitches at Anstey Park/Diggers. Ian Mason will provide pitch allocation.

Opposition teams must be e-mailed the Alton FC Covid Risk Assessment. Please read this so you are familiar with it.
