Alton Girls and Ladies Weekend Roundup

11 Mar 2024

Here’s your round up from the girls & ladies fixtures this weekend.

Alton Girls

Saturday 9th March

Meerkats - No game

Thundercats 3 v Baffins Milton Rangers 6 U12
Thundercats lost to a strong, physical, well organised Baffins Team. A debut for Erin today who did well coming into her first game for Thundercats against a top 3 team.
A second half hatrick from Tessa and some brilliant defending from Bella and Lauren kept the game close throughout the second half. Players of the match were Tessa, Bella and Lauren.

Pumas 6 v Portchester Youth 0 U13
The football on display, at times, was outstanding with some wonderful passages of play in control of the ball and the game.
Goals from Eliza, Ariana x3, Bella and Ruby. Portchester pushed us all the way, gave us a real test at times. Credit to our girls for dealing with it so effectively.

Panthers v Alresford U14 (A)
The Panthers bounced back from their previous defeat with a battling 2-0 victory away to Alresford. Goals from Sophia and Caitlin, assisted by Daisy and Sophia were enough to see the girls take all 3 points. The opposition chose Jasmine as their girl of the game - well deserved 👍

Sunday 10th March

Bobcats v Churt U8 (A)
Bobcats lost an outnumbered match against Churt Equinox. Hat-trick by Paige, great defending and Goal keeping by Blancia. Bella H did some fantastic runs.We kept on trying and never gave up! Well done, Bobcats

Youth 2 v Molesey 3 U18s
The Youth team played a team who are second in a division above us. We matched them throughout the game and were unlucky on this occasion. 2 great goals from Molly and great play out from the back.
No game for the ladies. Taking a well earned break chilling with family on Mothers Day
