Windsor 4 - 0 Alton Youth (FA Youth Cup)
Updated: 26.09.17Alton fell at the first hurdle in this FA Youth Cup fixture.
They could not cope with a home side that were stronger and quicker than them to the ball on the night.
The game started with Alton passing well on a lovely surface and the first chance came to Jack Grover who headed wide from a corner.
That was as good as it got, Alton conceded themselves from a corner after 10 minutes with Ellison Rogers turning into his own net.
The home side got on top and scored a second soon after with a shot that went in off the post from the edge of the area, soon after was a third when Kian Ventham conceded a penalty (which referee didn't give, but choose to go with linesman decision who was further away).
Toby Glover kept the score down with a string of good saves.
The visitors improved in the second half and created a few chances with the home keeper saving efforts from Liam Knight and Joe MCleod, but Windsor's fourth summed up the night when their midfielder went on a run from the halfway line and was unchallenged before slotting home past Glover in the Alton goal.
Not a good night partly down to a side that was strong and very effective.
