Andover New Street 0 - 3 Alton
Posted: 28.11.16Alton took a two goal lead into the interval but faced a difficult opening 20 minutes of the second half when New Street put on the pressure and Alton had to defend and respond well.
On seven minutes Mark Taylor headed a Sean Hayes free kick back across goal for Ali Gill to head home. This was followed on eighteen minutes when new boy Taylor Watts made a right wing run and pulled back his cross for Scott Sanderson to score with a low drive.
Almost as a breakaway from New Street's forward play Alton sealed the game with their third goal and again it was Scott Sanderson who got on the end of a cross and sent a looping header high into the top left corner of the net.
A positive result with both new boys Michael Parker and Taylor Watts showing up well and with Alton having to adjust at the back after just seven minutes when centre half Adam Aimable had to retire hurt with Jonny Wey coming on at left back and Ali Gill joining Mark Taylor at the centre of defence.
