08 FEB 2026

Back in action after 8 weeks out, our ladies returned to the pitch today against a strong and in-form Winchester Reds side — and what a performance it was! 💪⚽

We started brightly with a very good first half, creating plenty of chances and showing great attacking intent. Claudia came close with a superb free kick, followed by an outstanding effort that forced a brilliant save from the Winchester keeper, tipping the ball onto the bar.

Despite our dominance, the score remained 0-0 at the break. The second half continued in much the same way, with both teams battling hard. Winchester managed to break through with a long ball over the top, and although a fantastic last-ditch tackle looked to have won the ball cleanly, a penalty was awarded and Winchester converted to take the lead, however our ladies showed incredible character and resilience in response. The equaliser soon followed with a fantastic looping header from Ania, which sailed beautifully over the keeper and into the net — a fully deserved goal! 🙌

It was also brilliant to welcome back several players from injury: Sophie Hall made her long-awaited return after breaking her leg in September, while Paz was back after a year recovering from ACL surgery, and Zoe K also returned to action following injury. Having you all back out there was fantastic to see! 👏

The match finished 1-1, and we’re already looking forward to heading to Winchester for the return fixture.

What a performance from the Devs, storming into the Junior Shield semi-finals with a fantastic 6-0 victory over Solent Sports Alliance! 💪⚽️

It was the perfect start as Caitlin fired us ahead just two minutes in, setting the tone for a dominant display. Lucy M was on unstoppable form, netting twice, before Lucy TM added our fourth to give us a commanding lead going into half-time.

The momentum didn’t slow after the break, with Holly and Amelia both getting on the scoresheet to cap off a superb team performance and secure our place in the final four!

A huge shoutout to Megan for a rock-solid clean sheet, backed up by a brilliant defensive display. Special recognition goes to Leanne, our Player of the Match, who stepped in at right back and delivered an outstanding performance 👏

We can’t wait to see who we face in the semi-finals… bring it on!
