The players certainly did their bit in ensuring Kev Adair's last game in charge was victorious.
It was a game they dominated in the main, and they played some really impressive football keeping possession and moving the opposition around the park.
Two goals in a 10 minute spell midway through the half gave them a comfortable lead.
Zak Nash stroked home a first time shot when the ball broke nicely for him in the penalty area, and following an exchange of passing with Alex Macallister, Josh Millo finished well to increase the lead.
The home side continued to dominate possession and territory, creating some really good opportunities in the early part of the second half but just couldn't find that elusive third goal that would likely have put the game out of reach.
That gave the visitors a little encouragement and after a tense period when they took the imitative they actually got the ball in the net twice, on both occasions the linesman's flag was raised well before the ball hit the net.
The game was finally put to bed in the 86th minute, a driving run from Macallister left three defenders in his wake and an unstoppable shot from 20 yards into the top right hand corner, a goal worthy of winning any game.
