Match Reports From This Weekend

A great game for U8 lightening. Lovely execution of individual skills & an appreciation of the use of space. Isla voted girl of the game by the opposition. Chloe captain in her first game for the team.

Bobcats U10’s had a close match with Milford Pumas Polar Bears. Narrow defeat thanks to some individual brilliance from the visting team. The girls played with bravery. Steady progress for the team.

U11s Meerkats played Whitchurch in the cup. They didn't disappoint. It’s getting harder to pick a player of the match. Special mention to go to Mabel scoring 4 goals. Other goals from, Willow, Poppy, Giulia, Sophin, Molly & Kaiya. The girls all had a massive smile on their faces at the end. I would like to thank the girls & their parents for some fantastic commitment.

U12 Meerkats v United Services Portsmouth. Unfortunately we started the game with 8 players & no subs & the opposition kindly agreed to play with 8 too. After a great first half the opposition decided to play the 2nd half with 9 players. Alton showed true resilience. Every player dug in & played above themselves with special mention to Ellie in unfamiliar territory in goals & Arwen who covered every inch of the pitch! After a fantastic game, unfortunately we narrowly lost the game but a wonderful effort from all the girls - a true team effort.

U14 Thundercats - Early start against Amesbury. Our girls got out of the blocks fast & didn't look back. 4-0 at half time goals from Maisie, Jasmine, Erin and an unfortunate OG after a thunderous cross from Maisie. All credit to Amesbury who kept their heads high and came out attacking but our defence was up to the challenge. 3 more goals came through Maisie, bagging a deserved hatrick & Erin scoring only her 2nd ever goal for the team leaving the pitch with a massive smile. Ended 7-0. Solid goalkeeper with Sara & Olivia. Amelia awarded player of the match.

U15 pumas - Cup game v ABGFC. Quickly settled going 1-0 up - brilliant battling from the players & the girls started cruising, game finished 7-0 , hat tricks from Eliza & Sophie. Some incredible assists from the team.
