The ladies travelled away to Pace this afternoon and produced six unanswered goals, to win this league 2 encounter!
On a small and unusual surface in the beautiful spring sunshine, Ania stood out as the difference between the 2 sides in the first half with a goal and an assist. First playing a beautifully worked one-two with Zoe before nicely slotting home to give the coaches a lift from the frustration that came before. Then she turned from scorer to creator, assisting Eva who slotted home with confidence!
In truth Alton hadn’t reached the standards expected and demanded by themselves and the higher level they are capable of, but this was corrected in the second half with a much higher tempo performance by all, resulting in 4 further unanswered goals - the pick of which was a superb header from Teyla direct from a Sophie H corner kick. This following an earlier goal she converted after some fine work by Jess.
Roles reversed again for the 5th goal with Jess scoring after being set up by Teyla!
Then to round things off, Eva banged in the 6th (assisted by Teyla) to earn a Coaches POTM performance - get in 6-0 ⚽️
Well done to all the girls and a special mention to Chelsie who’s constant communication finally got the girls playing with a smile on their faces and an enjoyable game of football.🤍🖤🤍
