Wight Eagles Ladies 2 - 3 Alton Ladies

Our 1sts returned from the Isle of Wight with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Wight Eagles.

The game was goalless until five minutes before half-time when we took the lead through some determined play from Ania who pressured the home defence into a mistake before cooly finishing past the keeper.

The ladies started brightly in the second half, going 2-0 up thanks to a sensational solo goal from Teyla. A contender for our goal of the season?

Wight Eagles made it 2-1 from a corner but we got our two goal lead back when excellent work by Caitlin forced an own goal midway through the half.

Another Wight Eagles goal made it a slightly nervous finish but the ladies stayed strong to pick up an important three points.
