It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of Kirsty Payne, our Welfare Officer, following a stroke.
Kirsty was not only a cornerstone of Alton Football Club but also a cherished member of our community, dedicating her time, compassion, and unwavering support to the well-being of everyone associated with the club.
Her commitment to our players, parents, and volunteers was extraordinary, and her kindness left a lasting impact on us all. Kirsty’s contributions went beyond her role; she was a friend, a confidant, and a champion of our club’s values.
As we come to terms with this heartbreaking loss, our thoughts are with Kirsty’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Many of you will know her son, who is an integral part of our club. While we respect the family’s privacy, we ask that as a club and as a community, we support them with the same care and understanding Kirsty gave to us all.
Moments like these remind us of the strength we have in coming together. Please help each other through this time.
For those who feel they need additional support, please do not hesitate to reach out to the club. Together, we will ensure Kirsty’s spirit remains at the heart of Alton Football Club.
Thank you for your compassion and understanding.
Yours sincerely,
Carl Saunders
Chairman, Alton Football Club
