Alton Ladies Devs secured a 4-1 victory over Pavilion Panthers despite facing significant adversity.
After an early head injury 20 minutes in, and with Alton having no subs available it left them down to ten players.
Alton showed incredible spirit and determination for 70 mins, battling for every ball. With no regular goalkeeper available, Lexie and Connie each took a half, both excelling between the sticks, with Connie even saving a crucial second-half penalty.
Lexie, Lucy, and two goals from Ellie ensured Alton progressed to the next round. The team's relentless effort, especially from Lucy and Emily, who ran tirelessly for the full 90 minutes, was a testament to their resilience. Rebecca's tireless "Kante-like" performance earned her Player of the Match, as the ladies fought tooth and nail to claim a well-deserved win.
