A really entertaining game played out at a very misty Enclosure on Saturday afternoon.

The mist hung menacingly over the stadium throughout the game creating a wonderful atmosphere and an anticipation of could the game be in threat if it continued to develop.

As it was the game was completed and the home side did more than enough in the second half to take the win.

Not much goal threat at either end in the first half and it was the visitors that shaded the possession and territory belying their position in the league table.

Two goals in the first 20 minutes of the second half secured the points.

Perry Coles slotted home from close range after a good move down the right side early in the half and Pat Cox bulleted a header home from 12 yards after the home side turned up the heat (just what the crowd in the cold temperatures needed) and dominated proceedings.

With the game looking secure Kev Adair emptied his substitutes bench without disrupting the flow of the game and his side comfortably saw out the rest of the game.

Just the response he would have been hoping for in response to the previous weekend’s result. Back to winning ways.

Alton travel to Hillingdon Borough in the League Cup on Tuesday night before returning home to The Exclusive Networks Stadium this Saturday 9th December, when Cobham will be the visitors. Kick off 3pm. All gate income for this match will be donated to Treloar's School & College.
