Reserve Team Management: Josh Brown
Posted: 21.07.20Reserve Team Manager, Kevin Smith, has added Josh Brown to his management team (as player/coach) for the coming season, alongside himself and Clive Ventham.
Dave Hawtin steps aside to concentrate on his role as Director of Football for the Adult teams.
Kevin Smith said "Dave [Hawtin] stepping aside is disappointing to me personally as he was a great asset, and a calming voice both for me and in the changing room last year. I do though fully understand his reasoning and to carry out one role is time consuming enough, let alone two!"
"Josh proved himself, to Clive and I, to be a great addition to the squad in his role as Skipper and conducting the pre-match warm ups when needed, plus a few other things behind the scenes that often go unnoticed. He has the ear of the players, which is no mean feat in itself and I felt that the time is right for him to take a bigger role with some of the decision making and training. He welcomed the idea and I look forward to working with him and Clive this year."
