Alton Res. 4 - 2 South Wonston Swifts
Posted: 21.01.19Alton Reserves won through to the North Hants Intermediate Cup Final on Saturday as they beat South Wonston in the Semi final.
Alton took the lead through Matt Jackson, before South Wonston equalised at the beginning of the second half.
Two goals in seven minutes from centre half Max Adolphe, seemed to have put the game out of South Wonston's reach, but they controversially pulled a goal back, with the referee signalling for a substitution - he suddenly waved play on, and with Alton out of position South Wonston scored.
But it wasn't to be and Lee Westbrook restored Alton's two goal lead as he ram onto a through ball and gave the keeper no chance and allowed the celebrations to begin.
Alton will play Tadley Calleva Reserves in the final with the date and venue to be confirmed.
