Alton 3 - 2 Romsey Town

Posted: 21.11.16

A dramatic final five minutes saw Alton gain all three points in a thrilling match at The Enclosure. A Callum Burch header gave Alton a first half lead to take into the interval. Romsey scored from close range midway through the second half and, perhaps, a point apiece seemed the likely outcome.

With five minutes remaining, however, Romsey scored following a corner to take a 2 1 lead and, it appeared, all three points. On eighty nine minutes, however, Mark Taylor headed home a driven cross from Ash Peck to level things up and with the last action of the game in the fourth minute of added time Mark Taylor headed a Sean Hayes free kick that came off a Romsey defender to lob the visiting keeper.
