Alton went behind in the 13th minute. While Alton had lots of early possession it took them a while to get going. On 30 mins Scott Sanderson stabbed home the equaliser, that was to turn the game Alton's way.

Ben Hutching's headed home the 2nd from Ash Pecks corner and following a half cleared free kick it was Ash himself that scored Alton's third on the stroke of half time.

Henley came out early and obviously with a flea in the ear from their vocal manager, but to no avail as although they huffed and puffed they never really threatened Mo's goal.

Just on the hour mark Henry Fox put the game out of sight when he bundled home from a right wing cross for Alton's second.

Although Charlsey used all three subs apart from a soft penalty on 80 minutes and one save down to Mo's left, Henley never looked like getting back into the game.

And so Alton won their first FA game of the season to progress to the first round proper on the 22nd October. We will play Corinthian FC.
