Alton Girls and Ladies Weekend Roundup

18 Mar 2024

Here’s your round up from the girls & ladies fixtures this weekend.

Alton Girls

Saturday 16th March

Meerkats v Hedge End Ranger U10
Unfortunately the Meerkats lost this weekend away against Hedge End Vixens. There was a strong performance from Abigail and some lovely footwork from Sophin.

Thundercats 0 v Baffins Milton Rovers 2 U12
The game was back and forth for 60 minutes with both sides enjoying lots of great passing play. Maisie being voted player of the match, the girls didn't give up and were unlucky with hitting posts and crossbars. The girls dominated the first half going in 0-0.

Pumas 3 v Stoneham Lionesses U13 2
Pumas pulled off the “great escape” against Stoneham this weekend coming back from 0-2 down to win 3-2. Unquestionably, the best performance from the Pumas to date against a very physical Stoneham team. Two goals from Ruby and one from Ariana scured all three points. Congratulations girls, an amazing performance.

Panthers 2 v Hiltingbury 2 U14
A battling and largely dominant performance from the Panthers saw us walk away with the points shared. Goals from Caitlin in the first half, and Daisy in the second, with multiple shots coming back off the woodwork - so close!
Assists from Lily and Jasmine, with Holly M being chosen by the opposition as their girl of the game.

Sunday 17th March

Bobcats lost a close game v Liphook Utd.
Bobcat goals came from Bella H and Blancia, great defensive work from Layla and Bella S, and Sophia gave a captains performance

Well done to all ….sounds like some great football was played!
