Here’s your round up from the girls & ladies fixtures this weekend.
Saturday 10th February
Meerkats (W) v Gosport Falcons U10s (L)
A fantastic game. The girls started & finished with nothing but positivity. The team played a very good Gosport falcon side who had previously beaten us at home earlier in the year. With a hatrick for Isla & brace for Sophin, & goals for Maddie, Aaliyah and Mabel. It’s been a really tough season for the girls, for most of them it’s been their first. With back to back wins they have smiles on their faces and they are loving the game. The confidence in all of our girls has grown enormously.
Panthers 1 v Hythe and Dibden U14s 2
We travelled to Hythe for a match against a team full of confidence, having made it to the plate final last week.We lined up our 10 players vs their 11 (plus 5 subs) and the girls to put their biggest shift in. Unfortunately the result was a 2-1 loss, but every one of our Panthers should hold their heads high having delivered a whole team performance. Congratulations to Jasmine for her goal today. No match for us next weekend, so we will take the opportunity to rest and recharge ready for the final push in the league.
Sunday 11th February
Sunday 11th - All games were called off
Bobcats v Mychette Athletic U8s
Youth v Fleet U18s
Ladies v Bursledon Reserves
Liphook Ladies v Alton Ladies (Friendly)
A cracking game today where both teams played some great football. A joy to watch. Liphook took their chance and went a goal up just before half time.
The next 45 minutes were nail biting as the teams battled hard with great end to end football, Liphook sealing the win.
Goals today for us from Jodie & Eva. Coaches player of the match goes to Eva.
It was a pleasure to host Liphook Ladies who gave us the opportunity to test ourselves and we wish them the very best with the rest of their season.
