Alton Girls and Ladies Weekend Roundup

17 Dec 2023

Here’s your round up from the girls & ladies fixtures this weekend.

SATURDAY 16th Games

Meerkats v Moneyfields U10s (A) - Game postponed

Thundercats (W) v Fawley Falcons U12s (L)
Thundercats won 9-0. Fawley remained determined and kept fighting to the end. Goals, Hatrick for Sara, 2 for Maisie, Emily, Jasmine, Amelia and an unfortunate own goal. Fantastic for the girls to end 2023 top of the table. They have worked hard playing some excellent football.

Pumas (L) v Stoneham U13s (W)
Played 9v11 the whole game.
Very proud of the team and their calmness under pressure and skill to pass out - fab positives. The girls were a credit to themselves, a class act, brilliant team under pressure and a tough set of circumstances.

Panthers (W) v Hartley Whitney U14s (L)
The Panthers finished 2023 with one of their best team performances of the season, at home against Hartley Wintney. They worked hard, coming back from 2-1 down at halftime to win 4-2. Goals coming from Daisy C, with Holly M being chosen as the girl of the game by the opposition.

Warriors (L) v Petersfield U16s (W)
Warriors lost 3-2 against Petersfield in the Quarter Final Plate match. After being 2-0 down, the girls came out with real determination in the second half and their efforts were rewarded by 2 goals from Molly. It was an end to end battle with near misses from both teams and brilliant performances from both keepers. Petersfield managed to grab a goal in the last 5 minutes. A fantastic performance by all today, with our Goalkeeper Lottie being awarded opposition girl of the game.
