Alton Girls and Ladies Weekend Roundup

SATURDAY 25th Games

Meerkats (L) v Baffins Milton Rangers U10s (W)
The meerkats lost their game this week. The team played well for much of the game and worked hard creating lots of chances. Goals from Mabel and a well worked goal from Isla.

Pumas (W) v. Hiltingbury U13s (L)
The team put in their best performance this season and came away 4-2 winners. The teamwork, inter-play, and the passing was stand out. Goals came from Eliza and two from Ariana.

Panthers v Hiltingbury U14s - Draw
On a bitterly cold, but beautiful morning the Panthers travelled to Hiltingbury for what has traditionally been a close fixture and this was no different. Panthers took a 1-0 lead after 10 minutes with a well taken goal by Caitlin. Panthers conceded before halftime and went in 1-1. Despite best efforts, that’s how the game finished, with both teams hitting the woodwork on a couple of occasions, alongside some good goalkeeping. Hiltingbury chose Caitlin as their girl of the game, whilst the Panthers chose Abi as ours.

Warriors v Pace U16s
It was an exciting match but unfortunately the game was abandoned due to player injury. Absolutely the right decision as player welfare must always come first. Rematch to be arranged.

SUNDAY 26th Games

Bobcats (L) v Pirbright U8s
Bobcats narrowly lost to Pirbright Comets on a cold and frosty mid-morning!

Youth (W) v Beacon Hill U18s (L)
The youth team dominated possession in their game through the midfield. The hard work paid off with a great 4-2 win for the team. Well done to all.

Ladies (W) v Havent & Waterlooville Ladies Reserves (L)
It was an absolute pleasure to host Havant & Waterlooville Ladies reserves today whose conduct was outstanding. They gave us a great game and never stopped working.

The team looked great out there today, communicating well and taking everything they’ve been working on in training into the game. It was a whole team performance with the goals coming from Paz and Jodie who got 3. Alton player of the match chosen by the coaching team was Eva. Eva was rewarded for doing absolutely everything that the coaches asked of her today. Her fitness and impressive work rate shone through as she left no part of the pitch uncovered. Congratulations camera shy Eva!!
Well done to the whole team, we are so proud of the effort and hard work you put in today you deserved the win.
