Alton Girls and Ladies Weekend Roundup

SATURDAY 4th Games

Alton Pumas v Southampton Women U13 (cup game)
Pumas lost 3-1 to a very good Southampton women team in their cup game. The game itself was superb to watch with some fantastic football played by our Alton girls. Well done to Ruby for a superb goal.

Alton meerkats lost in the cup against Wyvern. There were goals from Isla and Aaliyah, with Ruby being fantastic in goal, making some great saves in one on one situations. Well done girls.

Alton Panthers and Alton Thundercats were a casualty of the weather this week unfortunately.

SUNDAY 5th Games

Haslemere U8 v Alton Bobcats
Bobcats lost in a close match away to Haslemere. Shoutouts to Asiya for scoring a brace on her debut, Paige for scoring a hattrick, Layla for some great attacking play, and Amélie and Elise for making some goal stopping saves

Alton Youth v Manorcroft United.
Youth team lost in their cup game 5-2, goals from Molly and Willow.

Alton Ladies v Milbrook FC Women (cup game) - Alton Ladies lost 6-2.
The first half was cracking and our ladies held up so well against a very strong team. In the second half Millbrook read the game well, spotted the gaps and were rewarded with the win. A special mention to Millbrook number 2 who was absolutely solid in defence. Alton player of the match was chosen by Sophie from the U18’s youth team and Ania was rewarded for her consistency and strong work ethic throughout the game. Congratulations Ania. We must mention Alysha who played in goal today and made so many brilliant saves. Well done to all our ladies who put in a hard shift against a strong team playing in the league above. You did us all proud. Working hard and playing hard together on and off the pitch!
