25 Sep 2023

All in all a weekend of great football played by all our girls teams with lots of learning too.

Meerkats v Wyvern x-x
Thundercats v Stoneham 3-1 (W)
Pumas v Southbrook 1-7 (L)
Panthers v Lee Rangers 17-1 (W)
Warriors v Whitchurch 3-1 (W)

A great start for Thundercats against a very physical team, where the girls came away worthy winners. Well done to all the girls.

An impressive performance by the U14 Panthers yesterday who just couldn’t stop scoring. In their first league match of the season, on Diggers, against a newly formed team from Lee in Gosport and the girls smashed it! With multiple scorers and many different players providing the assists too. The team have been working on through balls in training, and that really showed. So proud of all of them, celebrating goals together, they were genuinely excited for each of their team mates when they scored or provided the assist. The girls go into training on Wednesday to build on this exceptional result.

An excellent win for the Warriors too.

A big mention must go to our under 8’s in their first football festival. The girls did brilliantly in their first week as a new team. Played 6, won 1 (4-2, all goals scored by Paige), lost 5 - but the results don't matter, the girls had a great time.
