Alton 7 - 0 New Milton Town

Alton completely dominated this match and it wasn't until the 89th minute that keeper Kallum Lunn's goal came under threat when a rare New Milton attack ended with Louka hitting the outside of the post.

Alton bossed the game from start to finish and probably should have scored more, but it was a nine minute first half hat-trick for Scott Sanderson that put the game well and truly out of New Milton's reach. A header wide from Adam Aimable from Sean Hayes's free kick should have got the alarm bells ringing for New Milton as just four minutes later Sanderson reacted quickest after New Milton keeper Isaac James could only palm away Taylor Watts's shot to give Alton the lead.

Sanderson made it two shortly after when he chased down a back pass and James's clearance hit him on the knee and looped over the hapless keeper and into the net.

It wasn't to be the keepers day as five minutes later his headed clearance from outside his box fell to Sanderson who volleyed back into the unguarded goal from thirty yards to complete a nine minute hat-trick.

Alton continued to dominate and after Sanderson had been crudely bought down on the edge of the box Sean Hayes's free kick cannoned back off the bar. Alton's midfield were enjoying themselves and shots from Regan Hitch, Ryan Bunney, Mitchell Parker and winger Taylor Watts failed to find the target.

The forth goal arrived on the stroke of half time when a flowing move down the right allowed Ryan Bunney to head home Hitch's cross.

Within ten minutes of the start of the second half, Alton had scored two more, first Taylor Watts raced through to a delightful through ball to score number five and then following a half cleared corner Sean Hayes hit home the clearance from twenty five yards into the top corner.

Despite making changes Alton continued to dominate with Watts, Sanderson and Parker all having chances to add to the score. But it was Sanderson who finished off the scoring when he headed home Alton's seventh and his forth in the 90th minute to complete a fine all-round performance and make it three wins on the bounce.

Mention should be made to Alton's centre back pairing of Mark Taylor and Adam Aimable who apart from the one chance in the 89th minute kept New Milton's attack at bay.

Next up is a home match against forth in the table Shaftesbury who visit The Enclosure on Saturday 10th December.
